The 7th conference in the series of Asian Pacific Conference on Shell and Spatial Structures (IASS-APCS 2003) will be held in Taipei, Taiwan on October this year. This Symposium seeks to provide a forum for presentation of new trends in research and development of shell and spatial structures. Researchers and engineers are invited to exchange their achievements and experience on topics ranging from the academic to the practicing aspects of the structures considered. 国内去的可能不会太多，因为签证比去国外还难，尽管还没有出中国。
  
上次天津开会，据川口先生透露，2006年（可能不只是亚太地区）的IASS会议可能会在北京召开。我想可能有两条原因：
一是2006年奥运场馆都建的差不多了，国内的业内人士需要一个和外界交流一下的机会，一是炫耀一下，二是接受检验。
另一个原因可能是，从1986年到2006年，整整20年了，轮也该轮到一次了。况且中国最近空间结构发展这么快。
